Maintaining our connection to the natural worldis one of the most vital ethical aspectsof life at Jouvange. That is why we strive to use only the most natural products, and fully indicate our ingredients on all of our labels. Local production
We believe that local development is a strong contributor to a prosperous economy. Jouvange strives to source locally and develop and manufacture our products so that our joint efforts with the surrounding community will help support local economies. Currently we've ensured that all our manufacturers are Canadian. We're currently developing greenhouse and farm partnerships to help us reach the goal of having 40% of our ingredients locally grown by 2014.  

Why grow locally?
Aside from helping support our local economy, growing locally means that we can ensure our ingredients are of the highest quality, free of pesticides, parabens and GMOs. We seek to preserve the biodiversity of the natural Canadian wildlife, and reduce the carbon footprint of our business as a whole.

Community support
Along with the local production of our ingredients, we avidly support fair-trade with our international suppliers. All our exotic shea and cocoa butters from farmers in Africa are ensured fair-trade relationships. We are actively researching new opportunities to support equitable trade overseas, and engage in fair-trade commerce with farmers in Canada.

No Animal Testing
As supporters of animal rights, we have established relationships with only the most principled manufacturers who share our values of no tolerance animal testing. We aim to become certified by the Coalition for Consumer
